Merry Christmas Nephew...

One of the best things about hand made cards is making them say what you want them to say......and this card is for one of our nephew's so I loved being able to make it say NEPHEW on the card! Top that Hallmark!! LOL!

A challenge that I am often faced with is stepping away from Stampin Up. I love their stuff, but sometimes I want to shake things up a bit and find elements for my cards that will work with the SU! cardstock. (I will only use their cardstock, I have found it to be the BEST!)

I wanted to color tonight, and my copics are feeling neglected, so I started going through my digi stamps and found this adorable gnome stamp that I think resembles a Christmas elf perfectly! And this is my final card...

I am happy to say the only SU! that can be found on this card is the "Merry Christmas" sentiment and the basic black card base....oh yeah, and the silver thread too.

Mission accomplished, I think....and I hope Riley smiles when he sees this card!!
